What is Mickel Therapy?
For the treatment of M.E., Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Anxiety, Depression and I.B.S. (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
Mickel Therapy is performed by Maria Whiteley at JBC Vitality and is a holistic treatment that helps us to understand why we are experiencing physical and emotional symptoms, by helping us to access the underlying Primary Emotions they represent. Mickel Therapy draws on quantum theory and Vibrational medicine. It works from the premise that symptoms and 'disease' states are caused by an energetic imbalance within the cells of the body.
As we experience different events in our lives our body-intelligence or body consciousness creates energetic responses called e-motions.
These e-motions are produced instantaneously independently of our thinking. They are the result of a complex physiological process involving multiple systems within the body.
When e-motions get trapped within the cells of the body a rewiring' of the cells takes place resulting in cellular dysfunction leading to symptoms of physical 'dis-ease'.
Mickel Therapy empowers clients with the tools necessary to correct this imbalance. The result is a return to full health.
Who developed Mickel Therapy?

About Maria Whiteley
"I have been a Nurse over a period of 25 years working with Leeds Hospitals Trust, and also with Newcastle Hospitals Trust. I retrained to become a children’s nurse in 1999, (RSCN), and have practiced at The RVI, General and Freeman Hospitals. I have also practised in the private sector.
I am married with 2 grown up children, and have written a book which I hope will be published this year on coping with emotional health issues which has been widely reviewed in the mental health sector, and also by Denise Robertson, This Morning agony aunt.
I am
passionate about mental health issues, and am also a
Time to Change Champion, addressing stigma and discrimination in being known to have had a mental health problem.
I am on the Any Willing Provider list of County Durham Primary Care Trust, (CDPCT)
to bid for funding to provide a pilot scheme to demonstrate a health care product that will provide quality, innovation, able to demonstrate preventative benefits, and is priced to be of value for money , for the service users of the NHS in County Durham. Part of my reason for wanting to be a Mickel Therapist is because 2 family members have been CURED of their debilitating symptoms of M.E.
I have been a service user myself of CDPCT, and understand the importance of emotional health , and it's effect on our minds, bodies and our wellbeing"
What can I expect?
During a session Maria will facilitate you with a series of tools and techniques, so that you are better able to access YOUR OWN intuition, in order to meet your own physical and emotional needs, so empowering you in taking responsibility for your own health and wellbeing.
After every session of Mickel therapy, the therapist will access Supervision online on their practice with each client with Dr David Mickel or Kyle Davies, Co-Directors of Mickel Therapy, ahead of the next session, so ensuring best practice.
Want to know more?
Ahead of commencement of Mickeltherapy, it is advised for prospective clients to look at the Mickeltherapy website:
www.mickeltherapy.com, where you are able to see Dr David Mickel on You Tube explaining Mickel Therapy, and also able to buy his book: "The Long Awaited Cure".
This is advised so that prospective clients have some understanding of how Mickel Therapy works. If clients already have some understanding of how Mickel Therapy can help them, this will make the sessions ahead clearer for them.
Mickel Therapy is a treatment that takes on average 6-8 sessions to complete. The role of the therapist is to guide the clients through the process, train them to apply a variety of tools and techniques and to empower them regaining health.
Treatment does not involve diet change, supplements or any other medication, and is not a form of psychotherapy, or counselling, rather a body focused therapy.
