Testimonials

"......It has been 3 months since my 6th and final session. I can honestly say that I am a completely changed person. I have my life back, my family have the person they love back and I am planning ahead for the first time in three years-not only because I feel I can but because I want to. Thanks to Mickel Therapy I no longer dread getting up in the morning and living my life. For the first time in a long while I am jumping out of bed because I can't fit enough living into a day...."

"I was first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 2 years ago when I complained of pain in my arms, legs and back, basically all over my body. I knew then that they did not have a cure and I was looking forward to a life of pain. My wife looked up on the internet and did all the research possible. I tried diets, supplements, Homeopathy and exercise, all of which did not help. After the first session of Mickel Therapy I felt pretty good about myself and was starting to feel better already. The next appointment was 2 weeks later and life had taken a change for the better. At the end of my treatment I was completely cured and overwhelmed with the feeling of no pain and no painkillers and no more sleepless nights. I was looking forward to planning my future for the first time in years."

"After years of suffering with CFS and not being able to work, I enrolled in college to train as a chef and also have a part time job as trainee chef. I feel amazing. I’m so happy. I've also just got over a nasty cold that has had most of my friends in bed, but it felt like a minor inconvenience rather than an illness. It makes me really appreciate what you did for me. My family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for changing my life for the better-I'm even teary writing this email, but I’m not fighting them back anymore because it feels good now. "

"For a long period of time I suffered physical symptoms that I could not explain or reason out. They seemed random and unfair and impossible to control so that even when I severely limited my lifestyle and did everything I could to give my body a rest and protection, at times I would still get dealt a nasty blow of exhaustion, muscle pain, brain fog and depression. Through Mickel Therapy I now understand the causes behind my symptoms. Mickel Therapy has freed me from an illness that has dominated my life for nine years. In every sense of the word for the first time in my life it has given me much more than physical wellness and I am grateful for the path it has led me along and the way it has changed me... "

What is Mickel Therapy?

For the treatment of M.E., Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Anxiety, Depression and I.B.S. (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
Mickel Therapy is performed by Maria Whiteley at JBC Vitality and is a holistic treatment that helps us to understand why we are experiencing physical and emotional symptoms, by helping us to access the underlying Primary Emotions they represent. Mickel Therapy draws on quantum theory and Vibrational medicine. It works from the premise that symptoms and 'disease' states are caused by an energetic imbalance within the cells of the body.
As we experience different events in our lives our body-intelligence or body consciousness creates energetic responses called e-motions. These e-motions are produced instantaneously independently of our thinking. They are the result of a complex physiological process involving multiple systems within the body. When e-motions get trapped within the cells of the body a rewiring' of the cells takes place resulting in cellular dysfunction leading to symptoms of physical 'dis-ease'. Mickel Therapy empowers clients with the tools necessary to correct this imbalance. The result is a return to full health.

About Maria Whiteley

"I have been a Nurse over a period of 25 years working with Leeds Hospitals Trust, and also with Newcastle Hospitals Trust. I retrained to become a children’s nurse in 1999, (RSCN), and have practiced at The RVI, General and Freeman Hospitals. I have also practised in the private sector.
I am married with 2 grown up children, and have written a book which I hope will be published this year on coping with emotional health issues which has been widely reviewed in the mental health sector, and also by Denise Robertson, This Morning agony aunt.
I am passionate about mental health issues, and am also a Time to Change Champion, addressing stigma and discrimination in being known to have had a mental health problem.
I am on the Any Willing Provider list of County Durham Primary Care Trust, (CDPCT) to bid for funding to provide a pilot scheme to demonstrate a health care product that will provide quality, innovation, able to demonstrate preventative benefits, and is priced to be of value for money , for the service users of the NHS in County Durham. Part of my reason for wanting to be a Mickel Therapist is because 2 family members have been CURED of their debilitating symptoms of M.E. I have been a service user myself of CDPCT, and understand the importance of emotional health , and it's effect on our minds, bodies and our wellbeing"

What can I expect?

During a session Maria will facilitate you with a series of tools and techniques, so that you are better able to access YOUR OWN intuition, in order to meet your own physical and emotional needs, so empowering you in taking responsibility for your own health and wellbeing.
After every session of Mickel therapy, the therapist will access Supervision online on their practice with each client with Dr David Mickel or Kyle Davies, Co-Directors of Mickel Therapy, ahead of the next session, so ensuring best practice.

Want to know more?

Ahead of commencement of Mickeltherapy, it is advised for prospective clients to look at the Mickeltherapy website: www.mickeltherapy.com, where you are able to see Dr David Mickel on You Tube explaining Mickel Therapy, and also able to buy his book: "The Long Awaited Cure". This is advised so that prospective clients have some understanding of how Mickel Therapy works. If clients already have some understanding of how Mickel Therapy can help them, this will make the sessions ahead clearer for them.
Mickel Therapy is a treatment that takes on average 6-8 sessions to complete. The role of the therapist is to guide the clients through the process, train them to apply a variety of tools and techniques and to empower them regaining health. Treatment does not involve diet change, supplements or any other medication, and is not a form of psychotherapy, or counselling, rather a body focused therapy.
